Born and grown up in the “prototype Wachau”, Michael, the founder and CEO of Wachau-Safari, yukon and yukon-Akademie knows every remote corner between overgrown vineyards and romantic castle ruins.
Where emeralds unveil their splendid colors in the changing light of the sun and where the most striking birds draw their circles above mysterious shoots of the Danube, these are the places to which Michael takes his guests. A qualified and certified outdoor guide and off-road coach, he makes sure that you are on the safe side to enjoy the most beautiful places in the Wachau valley.

Elke Pickert
Elke Pickert from Kufstein works as management assistant and coordinator in the event management. A state-certified instructor, qualified outdoor, off-road and bike tour guide, she spends her free time driving her dirt bike, hiking, mountain biking and ski touring in the Tyrolian mountains. Following environmentally-sensitive tourism, she now takes guests on inspiring tours through the Wachau valley for an intensive experience of nature making every hike and ride an emotional adventure full of exclusivity, fun and delight. A 9-time Austrian champion and record holder in large-caliber sport shooting, she coaches executives in this field.
Ingrid Sonnleitner
A passionate road cyclist, Ingrid Sonnleitner, grown up near Stuttgart in Southern Germany, explored the Waldviertel in the North and the Wachau valley first hand. As a certified bike guide, her guests will also learn a lot about the region. She is happy to welcome our guests from abroad as she is a certified translator and interpreter for English. Based on her professional skills and knowledge, she is in charge of the media presence of Wachau-Safari and supports the PR sector.
